Referencing is one of the most important skills you will learn as a student.

It teaches you to acknowledge other people's ideas properly so that you can build on them and become part of the scholarly conversation.

It's hard to know where to start when studying a subject at university level. Students often pick up key skills along the way that they wish they'd learned much earlier! 

That's why Library Staff and the Department of Biology have worked together to offer you Five Top Tips for studying Biology to will hopefully save you time, get you a better grade and make student life a bit easier.

The Library has access to thousands of resources. The key to finding the best information is to decide on your research question, (i.e. what it is you want to find out in your research). You can successfully do this by following the research cycle.
