Using MU ReadingLists

What Are ReadingLists

What are ReadingLists?

MU Library now provides ReadingLists, software which integrates seamlessly into Moodle. ReadingLists connect students enrolled to your module with your chosen course materials, bringing them directly to an item within the Library catalogue or elsewhere.

What are the benefits?

ReadingLists allow you to quickly build specialised resource/reading lists for your modules, easily linking your students to suitable materials of all kinds - library, external and local resources from your device. It is accessed through Moodle. Students can annotate material, enhancing student engagement in Moodle.

ReadingLists remove much of the current administrative burdens associated with managing reading lists, such as determining correct permanent links for sharing, access issues, broken links, and copyright. You can re-use your lists across multiple academic years, without the concern around broken links or availability.

When you add items to your list that are not in our Library collection, we will be alerted to your module needs, and this will help us suitably manage the collection in response to your requirements.

Our chosen software is Leganto by ExLibris, but you will see it branded as ReadingLists in Moodle and across MU.
