Refworks at MU Library

MU Library has a limited version of Ref Works which is integrated into & available via the Library Search Discovery tool.

RefWorks is the default saving option for all the results you discover through Library Search.

To use it, you'll need to register for a Ref Works account, which you can do via your Library Account.  You can access this by clicking on the menu in the top righthand corner of the Advanced Library Search Screen.

The Advanced Library Search Screen can be opened by clicking on the chevron to the right of the basic search box on the Library Web page.

Once you login (using your MU credentials)  you'll see your Library Account page which displays your loans, requests etc.

Click the down arrow beside your name and in the drop down menu you'll see a Ref Works Link. Click on this to open an existing account or register for a new Ref Works Account.

Why is RefWorks useful?

  • Allows you to save the references you find in Library Search to an online folder and sort them into subject/topic groups, so you'll have a record (search history) of all the references you've found.
  •  Bibliographies can be generated from these in a variety of styles and added to your papers.
