This is a list of some websites for the study of Mathematics

  • The Erwin Schrodinger International Institute for Mathematical Physics. ESI was founded with the aim of providing a meeting place for leading experts in mathematical physics and mathematics in the international scientific community, nurturing the development and exchange of ideas.
  • International Association of Mathematical Physics. The IAMP was founded in 1976 in order to promote research in mathematical physics. The Association invites mathematicians and physicists (including students) interested in this goal to become members.
  • Mathworld. This is the web's most extensive mathematical resource, provided as a free service to the world's mathematics and internet communities as part of a commitment to education and educational outreach by Wolfram Research, makers of Mathematica.
  • PrePrint Network. PrePRINT Network is a searchable gateway to preprint servers that deal with scientific and technical disciplines. Such disciplines include the great bulk of physics, materials, and chemistry, as well as portions of biology, environmental sciences and nuclear medicine.

While it is required to use academic sources provided by the Library such as Books and Journals & Databases for your assignments and research, good quality online resources can make an important difference to your work.

  1. How recently was the information published / updated? 
  2. Is it relevant to your work?
  3. Do you trust the author?
  4. Is it supported by evidence?
  5. For what reason was the information published?
