Study Spaces

Group study rooms

The Library has 12 group study rooms located on the first floor.
Student groups of 2-8 people can book a group study room using their MU/SPPU email address.

Study Spaces

The Library provides a wide choice of study spaces to suit all your different learning and studying needs, it caters for several different learning styles including social, collaborative, silent and individual. 

The MSU offer meeting rooms to use. www.msu.ie/union/bookablespaces/ These can be booked one day in advance by using Skedda: msu.skedda.com/booking.

Also available are the Student Pods on the North side of the Arts Block. These can be booked by going to mulife.ie/ and scrolling down to Help & Support, and select Student Pods. These can be booked online and are automatically assigned to the student for 2 hours.

Silent Study Room

There is a Silent Study room located on the second floor of the library. This room is a dedicated space to silent study only and is open to all students. To apply for access to the Silent Study room, fill in the online form and go to the Information Desk with your student card. 

Post Grad Room

There is a Post Grad Room located on the second floor of the library. Access to this is for Post Graduate degree and diploma students only. Access to this room can be be put on your card by staff at the Admission Desk or the Information Desk. No booking required.
