This guide provides details of open access agreements with publishers facilitated by IReL (Irish Research eLibrary) which typically allow corresponding authors from eligible institutions to publish their articles open access immediately on publication.

Agreement details

The open access publishing agreement with Emerald allows corresponding authors from Maynooth University to publish articles open access with Emerald at no extra cost. Maynooth University has been provided with an unlimited number of APC vouchers. To use an APC voucher, simply select the option to publish open access when submitting your article on scholar one.

Eligible authors

At the time an article is accepted for publication, the corresponding author must be a current staff member or student of Maynooth University. Always use your Maynooth email address when submitting your work.
